In 1985, Gabriel Moushabeck opened Booklink Bookstore in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Gaby, as he is known by friends and family, had just received his MBA and could not resist the clarion call of his great love–books! By the 1990s, the Moushabeck family was growing and Western Massachusetts seemed like the perfect place for Gaby and Samar to raise their two young boys.
In 1997, Booklink Booksellers opened in Thornes’ Marketplace. Late nights of staircase building and shelving construction gave way to days full of community involvement and bookselling. Over the last 30 years, we have become the book destination for bibliophiles seeking new releases, beloved classics, and unexpected finds. We are fiercely independent. You won’t find “big box” prices; what you will find is an inventory crafted with intelligence, social awareness and dedication to our local community. Our commitment to quality extends to our collection of over 15 different artisan greeting card lines, as each card is selected individually by our attentive staff.
